Ability to create detailed and accurate proposals, including estimates, pricing, and scope of work for large industrial projects
Collaborate with internal teams to address any project challenges and ensure a seamless client experience from initial engagement to job completion
Build strong, long-term relationships with clients through regular site visits, proactive communication, and ongoing service support
Establish new relationships and business opportunities with end users, facility managers, engineers, specifiers, contractors and others for the purposes of obtaining product specifications
Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams: Product, Trade Marketing, Finance, Customer Service, Supply Chain, etc.
Develop strong relationships (dotted-line structure) as Signaling channel leader with Regional Sales Teams and Rep Agency partners; collaborate on project initiation, hand-offs, & specifications
Long-term team development – outline future team structure, identify key position needs for direct reports, contribute to growth strategy planning with Signaling Managing Director & Product Manager
Represent company as Subject Matter Expert (SME) at any necessary trade shows or industry events
Identify key competitors, provide market intelligence internally to identify gaps, assist with NPD ideation, & drive supply chain excellence
Drive periodic generation and executive reporting of business insights based on channel insight, data, and market trends
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree
5+ years as account manager or sales engineer; lighting/electrical industry experience
3+ years of experience working with and managing rep agencies
Overnight domestic travel of up to 75% required
