Educate and evaluate the needs of existing and potential customers to help develop the appropriate plan to meet and exceed customer performance expectations and Kennametal sales targets.
Develop and maintain excellent working relationships with OEMs.
Develop and maintain a pipeline of projects in CRM to drive the annual sales growth plan.
Keep customers well informed about latest technology developments and product innovations.
Regularly review the changes and dynamics of the market to ensure that the opportunities are in line with the company's strategy.
Work closely with our manufacturing operations teams to ensure customer needs are met.
Collaborate with our product management and development teams to share customer needs and feedback.
Prepare regular progress, status and forecast reports to management in the assigned area of responsibility.
Participate in trade shows and customer events as needed.
Spend approximately 50% of time in front of end-users/customers.
Learn about Kennametal Additive Manufacturing technology and develop skills to perform business development activities for Additive Manufacturing.
Requirements
Associates or Bachelor's degree in engineering or related program preferred.
2 to 5 years of industrial selling experience preferred.
2 to 5 years of Outside Sales experience preferred.
In-depth understanding of Kennametal wear products for mining applications preferred.
Innovative and self-motivated marketer able to work independently with little supervision.
Competence with MS Office in Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
Experience Developing Relationships with customers.
Can anticipate spending 50% of the time in front of end-users/customers.
Preferred locations: Pennsylvania, Arkansas, Texas, or near major airport.
