Understand customer requirements and prepare machine proposals/quotations to provide optimal machine configurations and solutions
Proposal engineering for Special Purpose Machines, deep hole drilling machines and special HMC/VMCs
Create proposal machine layouts and component layouts in CAD
Decide machining process, cutting tool selection, cycle time estimation and component accuracy analysis
Define machine specifications and prepare price estimations and complete techno-commercial offers
Visit customers for enquiries and technical discussions on machine proposals
Provide techno-commercial support to field sales team for order procurement
Capture market feedback for product up-gradation and facilitate development of new products
Handle ISO related activities including scrutinizing purchase orders, issuing order acceptance, preparing Order Handover Document (OHD) and budget allotment
Requirements
Engineering graduate in Mechanical / Industrial Production
15 to 20 years of experience in Sales Engineering / Proposal Engineering / Machine Design / Process Engineering
Experience working on tooled-up SPMs, HMC, VMC proposals and application engineering for HMC & VMC tooled-up machines
Good working knowledge on cutting tools, process engineering and metal cutting operations
Process knowledge of machining components for industries like 2W/4W/Tractor/General Engineering/Aerospace/Die & Mold
Ability to understand customer component drawings and machine/fixture/machine assembly drawings
Good knowledge and understanding of machine sub systems/assemblies and machine accessories
Ability to prepare component layouts, tooling layouts, fixture concepts and machine concept layouts for techno-commercial proposals
Working knowledge of 2D-Autocad (mandatory) and 3D-Solidworks or equivalent (preferred)
Understanding of customers' technical and techno-commercial needs
Understanding of commercial terms for capital equipment and machinery
