- We're seeking an experienced, hands-on mechanical engineer to join the Nightingale product development team to lead new product development projects from concept through production.\n
- This role reflects responsibility for all aspects of product development—from novel concept creation through detailed design, testing, documentation, and ultimately manufacturing release.\n
- The successful candidate will be creative, curious, and independent while effectively collaborating with all cross-functional members of the project team.\n
- This role works a hybrid schedule in Decatur, GA based on business needs.\n
- Primary Responsibilities Include: Product development from concept through production, including new product development, sustaining engineering support, and resolving field problems.\n
- Using the product delivery (stage-gate) system, to lead mechanical product design, prototyping, and release to manufacturing, managing complex schedules including product test and evaluation programs.\n
- Collaborating with and influencing cross-functional members of the product team.
Requirements
- A Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or Mechanical Engineering Technology is required.\n
- 5+ years of engineering experience in lighting, appliance, or from a related manufacturer of electro-mechanical consumer products is required.\n
- Proficiency in 3D CAD and Microsoft Office programs is required.\n
- SolidWorks software proficiency and CAD data management experience are preferred.\n
- Lifting items weighing up to 50 lbs based on business needs is required.\n
- Able to work from the Decatur, GA facility based on business needs is required.\n
- Able to travel domestically and internationally as needed for the role.
