About the role
- Independently manage complex international payroll processes across the United States, United Kingdom, Malta, and Australia
- Process end-to-end payroll across multiple jurisdictions (US – including multi-state variations, UK, Malta, and Australia)
- Handle all payroll-related tax filings, including jurisdiction-specific deductions and employer obligations
- Manage compensation structures, statutory contributions, and benefits processing per country
- Ensure full compliance with local employment and tax regulations
- Serve as an internal advisor on payroll compliance and reporting
- Navigate and advise on payroll nuances per country and state with zero ramp-up
Requirements
- 2–3 years of experience in global payroll operations
- Advanced knowledge of state-specific payroll taxation in the US
- Proven experience working across US, UK, Malta, and Australia payroll systems
- Deep familiarity with statutory requirements, employment law, and benefit systems
- Strong experience in using payroll systems and generating payroll reports
- Self-sufficient and capable of providing advisory input to management
