About the role
- Provide direct support to the CFO of a rapidly growing private jet and airport development company
- Handle day-to-day bookkeeping, transaction processing, and financial reporting
- Design and implement scalable financial systems to support the company’s ongoing growth and acquisitions
- Maintain accurate records of all daily financial transactions related to flight operations and aviation services
- Process invoices, payments, expense reports, and reconciliations efficiently and accurately
- Manage 20+ transaction entries per flight once acquisition is complete
- Maintain and update balance sheets, income statements, and general ledgers in real time
- Ensure financial entries align with company policies and accounting standards
- Assist with month-end and year-end closing activities
- Generate and maintain financial statements, reports, and summaries as directed by the CFO
- Support preparation of cash flow projections, P&L summaries, and variance analyses
- Provide clean, formatted financial data for executive review
- Conduct data audits to ensure completeness and accuracy before CFO sign-off
- Assist in financial modeling or forecasting for ongoing and future projects
- Collaborate with the CFO to build and refine accounting systems, SOPs, and workflow automation for scalability
- Assist in transitioning financial systems post-acquisition and integrating aviation and real estate accounting workflows
- Help evaluate new tools, software integrations, and process improvements for greater efficiency
- Maintain meticulous documentation for all systems and processes
- Support the CFO in administrative coordination, including scheduling financial reviews, preparing reports, and managing emails
- Coordinate with other departments or partners to collect financial data or resolve discrepancies
- Maintain confidentiality when handling sensitive financial information
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (preferred)
- 5+ years of bookkeeping or accounting experience, preferably supporting CFOs, controllers, or senior financial executives
- Proven track record working with aviation, logistics, or real estate financial operations (a strong plus)
- Strong understanding of GAAP, reconciliation, and journal entry best practices
- Proficiency in accounting platforms such as QuickBooks Online, Xero, or NetSuite
- Advanced Microsoft Excel and/or Google Sheets skills (pivot tables, data validation, formulas)
- Familiarity with financial workflow tools and cloud-based accounting integrations
- High attention to detail, accuracy, and speed
- Excellent organization and documentation skills
- Ability to learn new systems and adapt quickly during acquisition transitions
- Strong problem-solving, communication, and analytical skills
- Discreet and professional when handling confidential financial data
- Must be fluent in English, with strong comprehension and communication skills.
