Lead electrical design and integration activities for parcel automation systems
Design, implement, and optimize electrical systems that support high-throughput parcel handling operations
Develop motor control panels, device layouts, electrical schematics, and equipment bill of materials
Define system power requirements, design circuit protection, and prepare permit drawing packages
Design control network architecture layouts and apply knowledge of electrical codes/standards (NEC, NFPA, UL, OSHA) to ensure compliance
Develop RFQ packages for electrical installation and create electrical equipment purchase requisitions
Support project engineering across installation, testing, and commissioning phases
Lead electrical design discussions during system design review meetings and provide status updates to stakeholders
Travel up to 30% for site evaluations and project assessments
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or a closely related field
Minimum of five (5) years of experience in the warehouse and distribution industry, with a focus on electrical systems
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Strong interpersonal abilities to engage confidently with customers and internal teams
Ability to perform effectively in a fast-paced environment while meeting project deadlines
Proven experience designing electrical system layouts, including power distribution, conveyor motor control panels, and schematics using AutoCAD or similar tools
Experience basing electrical designs on mechanical system data such as equipment layout, motor horsepower, and throughput requirements
Direct experience with industrial control systems and communication protocols such as Ethernet, Profinet, and Profibus
Ability to collaborate effectively with controls engineering, project management, and installation teams
Ability to lead and contribute to design review meetings, communicate engineering decisions, and resolve technical issues in the field
Willingness to travel up to 30% for site evaluations and project assessments
