About the role

  • Install, maintain, troubleshoot parcel systems; provide training; document work; travel as needed; hybrid on-site role based in Irving, TX.
  • On-site system assessments and support during installation and post-installation phases
  • Equipment installation, testing, repairs, and overhauls in compliance with technical specs and safety standards
  • Analyze field data and system trends to identify root causes and support issue resolution
  • Collaborate with engineering, project management, and service teams for seamless integration and support
  • Obtain and manage site-specific permits, certifications, and customer-required sign-offs
  • Complete accurate service documentation including reports, logs, and forms
  • Respond to customer service calls, including travel on short notice and extended assignments

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • An associate degree or trade certification in mechanical, electrical, or electromechanical technology
  • A bachelor’s degree in engineering or a related technical field (preferred, but not required)
  • Minimum of 2 years hands-on experience troubleshooting electromechanical or mechanical systems in an industrial or logistics environment
  • Experience with automated material handling systems (preferred)
  • Experience working with Allen-Bradley and Siemens PLCs
  • Understanding of VFDs, MCCs, and electrical power distribution systems
  • Familiar with industrial network protocols such as Ethernet/IP, Profinet, Profibus, ASi Bus, and Modbus TCP
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills in industrial environments
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills; ability to explain technical issues to non-technical audiences
  • Ability to work independently and adapt in a fast-paced, customer-focused environment
  • Valid driver’s license and ability to travel frequently (up to 50%), including weekends and extended overnight stays
  • Ability to obtain USPS-sensitive security clearance
  • Physically able to lift up to 50 lbs, climb ladders or stairs, kneel, bend, and work at heights or in confined spaces
  • Comfortable working in environments with noise (>85 dB), dust, heat, cold, and moving machinery
  • Willing and able to use personal protective equipment (e.g., safety glasses, gloves, hard hats, hearing protection), as required and provided
