About the role
- Reports to VP of Finance and partners with Finance, Legal, Security and functional leadership to drive procurement operational excellence.
- Manage day-to-day sourcing and vendor management processes; establish, track and drive KPIs; create roadmap for procurement operations.
- Build strategic sourcing discipline and procurement operations.
- Negotiate cost-effective contracts with key suppliers and support business partners evaluating procurement options.
- Evaluate sourcing procedures and present improvement strategies to senior management.
- Establish and implement processes for monitoring SaaS renewals timely.
- Analyze procurement costs and develop cost reduction strategies.
- Evaluate contract terms with Legal to mitigate contract risk.
- Manage SLAs between business partners, Finance, Legal and Security for vendor and contract reviews.
- Develop processes to support overall vendor management including security reviews.
- Maintain key strategic sourcing relationships and develop strong partnerships.
Requirements
- Sound knowledge of vendor management, negotiation strategies and experience in a similar role.
- Proven experience securing favorable pricing and terms with major SaaS vendor categories (e.g. CRM, HRIS, ERP, etc.).
- Experience building and maturing a procurement operations function.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent preferred; progressive experience accepted in lieu of degree.
- 8-10 years of experience in business operations, finance or procurement; 4+ years in procurement related activities.
- Specialized certification in supply chain - CPSM / CIPS a differentiator.
- Experience with SaaS procurement and managing SaaS license renewals required.
- Skills in RPA and automation leveraging internal and 3rd party applications.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Highly adaptable team player.
- Extremely organized, Strong attention to details, Problem solving abilities.
- Experience in G-suite and/or MS Office; experience in Jira, Asana, procurement tools preferred.
- Ability to work with minimal supervision.
- Previous experience building procurement operations functions and supervising teams.
