About the role
- Support the smooth day-to-day running of Guernsey operations as a Procurement and Logistics Officer (20hr per week)
- Coordinate the flow of goods and services within the Procurement and Logistics team
- Manage inventory levels and place orders to ensure accuracy and timely delivery
- Liaise with vendors/partners and track deliveries, engaging with suppliers to meet quality standards
- Identify, evaluate, and negotiate with suppliers to secure favourable terms, pricing, and contractual agreements
- Support contract negotiations with suppliers and ensure terms meet organisational requirements
- Coordinate transportation and distribution of goods, collaborating with shipping companies
- Monitor and manage inventory to optimise stock levels and prevent stockouts or overstock
- Identify and mitigate potential risks in the supply chain and maintain accurate procurement records
- Ensure compliance with regulations, policies and procedures and seek cost reduction/process improvements
Requirements
- Previous experience in similar Procurement/Logistical Roles
- Strong Procure-to-Pay knowledge
- Understanding of Procurement compliance and sustainability requirements
- Experience in engaging with vendors/partners
- Experience in large stock taking
- Experience in worldwide shipping requirement
- Take ownership and accountability
- Strong communication skills
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
