Independently develop, maintain, review, and refresh executive-level deliverables
Develop compelling content for templates; training and informational materials; diagrams, charts, tables, and graphics; briefing decks; directives, instructions, SOPs, guidebooks, and reference materials; reports and white papers; and memoranda and executive correspondence
Conduct research to gather, verify, and analyze information for inclusion in deliverables
Perform technical reviews of executive-level documentation to ensure consistency with Department directives, formatting standards, grammar, syntax, audience, and style
Recommend edits and improvements to enhance clarity, conciseness, and readability
Oversee the efforts of less senior staff and/or assume responsibility for the quality and completion of all deliverables assigned to a project
Requirements
MA/MS degree
10+ years of professional experience in technical writing, editing, or related areas
Excellent professional writing and editing skills, with the ability to produce clear, concise, and accurate documents using plain language standards
Proficiency to determine the appropriate writing style
Strong collaboration skills to work with subject matter experts, team members, and Government stakeholders
Excellent organizational skills and high attention to detail to ensure accuracy and consistency
U.S. citizenship
Federal government experience preferred, DHS strongly preferred
Knowledge of government acquisition and procurement processes (preferred)
Proficiency with Microsoft PowerPoint and related tools for graphics, diagrams, and executive presentations (preferred)
