• The Underwriting Supervisor, Non-Agency plays a vital role in leading a dynamic team of Non-Agency Underwriters, ensuring that loan decisions are made efficiently, accurately, and in compliance with regulations. This position offers daily leadership, support, and direction to team members, all while prioritizing quality, exceptional service, and operational efficiency. The Underwriting Supervisor will tackle the review of complex loan files, provide escalation support, and act as a knowledgeable resource on Non-QM/Non-Agency products and investor guidelines. Additionally, this role will foster collaboration with Sales, Operations, and various other departments to align with the company's objectives, while mentoring and developing team members to meet both individual and collective performance goals.
• Key Responsibilities:
• Team Management
• Ability to underwrite both NON-QM, Jumbo and Closed End Fixed Rate Second Mortgage loans
• Manage an underwriting pipeline of new loans and resubmissions, ensuring adherence to standard service level agreements
• Collaborate with the underwriting team to uphold established service level agreements
• Track underwriter pipelines to guarantee optimum productivity
• Offer guidance and support to underwriting staff as needed by management
• Apply problem-solving skills, sound judgment, knowledge, and experience to effectively address loan-level issues
• Resolve escalations from underwriters and escalate to management as necessary
• Conduct second-level reviews as directed by management
• Execute a specified number of weekly spot checks as outlined by management, reviewing loan files for accuracy, completeness, and compliance with investor and agency guidelines
• Present and escalate loan files to management when required, in accordance with company protocols
• Engage in effective communication with operations and sales teams to ensure exceptional customer service via phone and email
• Collaborate with the post-closing department on any stipulations regarding closed files, relay process outcomes to underwriters and management
• Lead underwriting meetings alongside management
• Facilitate training and coaching for new hires, including both Underwriters and Junior Underwriters
• Conduct team performance reviews and one-on-ones with management
• Participate in interviews for potential candidates with management
• Manage timecards and time-off requests
• Perform additional duties as assigned by management

Underwriting Supervisor, Non-Agency

Compliance

• Stay current on federal, state, and investor regulatory requirements and upcoming changes impacting the mortgage industry
• Interpret, analyze, and implement new regulations in collaboration with leadership
• Develop, maintain, and review compliance-related policies, procedures, and controls to ensure ongoing adherence to applicable laws and guidelines
• Advise management on risk mitigation strategies and enhancements to systems and processes
• Design, implement, and deliver compliance-related training across the organization
• Communicate regulatory changes effectively to staff and ensure timely adoption of updated policies and practices
• Partner with external counsel to review and refine JMAC’s policies and procedures
• Oversee broker and correspondent compliance, ensuring adherence to investor and agency requirements
• Manage company licensing, including state license approvals, renewals, audits, and regulatory reporting
• Support the vendor management system and ensure proper due diligence on third-party providers
• Oversee JMAC’s Anti-Money Laundering (AML) program, HMDA filings, and MERS audits
• Respond to regulatory inquiries and manage external compliance audits
• Monitor and enforce representations and warranties obligations with investors and agencies
• Review and respond to consumer complaints, loan-level compliance issues, and inquiries from operations and sales teams

Compliance Manager

Operations

• Supervise the daily operations of our correspondent lending channel, which includes loan delivery, purchasing, funding, and post-closing activities.
• Drive innovation and enhancement of operational workflows to elevate efficiency, accuracy, and turnaround times.
• Maintain vigilant oversight of the loan pipeline and purchasing timelines to ensure we consistently meet our service-level agreements (SLAs).
• Serve as the main operational liaison for correspondent lenders, addressing escalations, resolving challenges, and fostering robust business relationships.
• Facilitate the onboarding of new correspondent partners, ensuring thorough setup, training, and compliance alignment.
• Ensure transparent and proactive communication with all operational departments—including underwriting, funding, closing, post-closing, compliance, quality control, and secondary marketing—to promote synchronization, timely issue resolution, and efficient loan processing.
• Evaluate partner performance, monitor delivery quality, and ensure adherence to investor guidelines.
• Collaborate with the compliance and quality control teams to guarantee compliance with agency, investor, and regulatory standards.
• Identify operational bottlenecks, implement technological solutions, and propose policy enhancements to optimize processes.
• Perform regular reviews and audits to maintain data integrity and reduce purchase suspense conditions.
• Collaborate with all relevant operational and business units to ensure alignment with credit policies, product offerings, and service standards.
• Work with IT and systems teams to enhance platform functionality for correspondent users.
• Lead and mentor the operations team supporting the correspondent channel, offering training, guidance, and feedback on performance.
• Set clear performance metrics, monitor outcomes, and ensure accountability throughout the team.

• This is a Full-Time/Fully Remote opportunity offering competitive pay ranging from $21.15-$25.85 per hour.
• Key Responsibilities
- Serve as a vital link between brokers and our operations team
- Support brokers with technical inquiries concerning imports, registrations, disclosures, uploads, pre-lock processes, and loan submissions
- Ensure clients are included in the daily rate sheet distribution
- Provide assistance to brokers through various online platforms including Client Support, Live Chat, Phone, or Email
