About the role

  • Respond to scheduled and emergency service calls by traveling between restaurant locations
  • Perform repairs and replacements on IT equipment, including Point of Sale systems, credit card devices, routers, cameras, computers, drive-thru equipment, IP phones
  • Install new cables (ethernet, video wire, etc.) and terminate them properly
  • Take responsibility for after-hour emergency calls on designated on-call days
  • Assist in new projects at existing stores and participate in new store builds when necessary
  • Escalate issues to IT vendors when applicable and follow up, documenting root cause
  • Complete weekly expense reports
  • Maintain the work vehicle in good condition
  • Control inventory and perform monthly audits
  • Work a minimum of 40 hours per week, with flexibility for weekends and night shifts

Requirements

  • Prior experience in restaurant IT service or a related industry is preferred
  • Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in a similar role (depending on skills and industry experience)
  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Good driving record and must pass a DMV check
  • Ability to thrive in a high-paced team environment
  • Physical ability to bend, twist, walk, reach, and lift objects weighing up to 50 pounds
  • Willingness to work on concrete or tile floors for extended periods
  • Comfortable working in small spaces, including crawling under counters and in tight areas
  • Proficient in climbing ladders and working at heights
  • Strong organizational and administrative skills
  • Effective communication skills, both electronically and verbally, with internal and external customers
  • Ability to follow directions and work within established systems
  • Maintains good personal hygiene
  • High energy level and self-motivation
  • Ability to handle high levels of stress effectively
  • Strong decision-making skills
  • Adherence to safety procedures when working at heights or on roofs (up to 24 feet)
  • Proficient in operating and maintaining power tools and equipment
  • Comfortable working both indoors and outdoors, even in challenging weather conditions
  • Punctuality is essential
  • Must be flexible to work weekends and be on-call for night shifts
  • Full-time availability (minimum 40 hours per week)
