About the role
- Respond to scheduled and emergency service calls by traveling between restaurant locations
- Perform repairs and replacements on IT equipment, including Point of Sale systems, credit card devices, routers, cameras, computers, drive-thru equipment, IP phones
- Install new cables (ethernet, video wire, etc.) and terminate them properly
- Take responsibility for after-hour emergency calls on designated on-call days
- Assist in new projects at existing stores and participate in new store builds when necessary
- Escalate issues to IT vendors when applicable and follow up, documenting root cause
- Complete weekly expense reports
- Maintain the work vehicle in good condition
- Control inventory and perform monthly audits
- Work a minimum of 40 hours per week, with flexibility for weekends and night shifts
Requirements
- Prior experience in restaurant IT service or a related industry is preferred
- Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in a similar role (depending on skills and industry experience)
- High School Diploma or GED
- Good driving record and must pass a DMV check
- Ability to thrive in a high-paced team environment
- Physical ability to bend, twist, walk, reach, and lift objects weighing up to 50 pounds
- Willingness to work on concrete or tile floors for extended periods
- Comfortable working in small spaces, including crawling under counters and in tight areas
- Proficient in climbing ladders and working at heights
- Strong organizational and administrative skills
- Effective communication skills, both electronically and verbally, with internal and external customers
- Ability to follow directions and work within established systems
- Maintains good personal hygiene
- High energy level and self-motivation
- Ability to handle high levels of stress effectively
- Strong decision-making skills
- Adherence to safety procedures when working at heights or on roofs (up to 24 feet)
- Proficient in operating and maintaining power tools and equipment
- Comfortable working both indoors and outdoors, even in challenging weather conditions
- Punctuality is essential
- Must be flexible to work weekends and be on-call for night shifts
- Full-time availability (minimum 40 hours per week)
