About the role
- Drive to various restaurant locations to repair and replace IT equipment.
- Service existing equipment and respond to scheduled and emergency service calls.
- Perform repairs and replacements on Point of Sale systems, credit card devices, routers, cameras, computers, drive-thru equipment, IP phones, etc.
- Install new cables (ethernet, video wire, etc.) and terminate them properly.
- Take responsibility for after-hour emergency calls on designated on-call days.
- Assist in new projects at existing stores and participate in new store builds when necessary.
- When applicable, escalate issues to IT vendors and follow up and document root cause.
- Complete weekly expense reports.
- Maintain the work vehicle in good condition.
- Control inventory and perform monthly audits.
Requirements
- Prior experience in restaurant IT service or a related industry is preferred.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in a similar role, depending on skills and industry experience.
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Good driving record and must pass a DMV check.
- Ability to thrive in a high-paced team environment.
- Physical ability to bend, twist, walk, reach, and lift objects weighing up to 50 pounds.
- Willingness to work on concrete or tile floors for extended periods.
- Comfortable working in small spaces, including crawling under counters and in tight areas.
- Proficient in climbing ladders and working at heights.
- Strong organizational and administrative skills.
- Effective communication skills, both electronically and verbally, with internal and external customers.
- Ability to follow directions and work within established systems.
- Maintains good personal hygiene.
- High energy level and self-motivation.
- Ability to handle high levels of stress effectively.
- Strong decision-making skills.
- Adherence to safety procedures when working at heights or on roofs (up to 24 feet).
- Proficient in operating and maintaining power tools and equipment, ranging from small to large.
- Comfortable working both indoors and outdoors, even in challenging weather conditions.
- Punctuality is essential.
