About the role
- Implement, administer, and expand the technical tools that drive finance operations; own and evolve systems to keep finance fast, accurate, and scalable
- Own and manage the core finance tech stack — including Netsuite, Ramp, DataRails, Numeric, and future systems — from configuration to optimization
- Troubleshoot API syncs, permissioning issues, data inconsistencies, and edge-case errors across systems and teams, particularly with Salesforce and internal tools
- Lead finance system implementations end-to-end, from vendor evaluation through testing, launch, and ongoing support
- Collaborate with Operations, Engineering, IT, and Product Management to ensure clean data handoffs and seamless integrations
- Ensure the finance team is using existing systems to their fullest potential by guiding best practices and unlocking underutilized functionality
- Develop internal system policies, documentation, and controls to reduce risk and ensure scalability
- Identify and deploy automations to eliminate repetitive tasks and accelerate the monthly close process
- Serve as the glue between Finance, IT, Operations, and Engineering; take high responsibility for outcomes while executing hands-on
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience managing financial systems and ERP tools, ideally in a multi-platform environment
- Deep technical knowledge of Netsuite, Ramp, Numeric, and related finance infrastructure
- Salesforce and Datarails experience a plus
- Familiarity with accounting practices (without needing to be an accountant)
- Strong familiarity with APIs, workflow automation tools, and system integration best practices
- Experience leading implementation projects end-to-end — including vendor selection, testing, and rollout
- Proven ability to execute and get things done
- Meticulous attention to detail, especially in system configurations and edge-case handling
- Strong project management skills
- Great at building trust and relationships across the organization; strong listening skills
- Ability to context switch between strategy and hands-on problem-solving
- You think like an owner: accountable, self-directed, and committed to outcomes
- Prefer building over managing people — happiest as an individual contributor
- Builder’s mindset: find gaps and create better ways to work
- Bias for clarity: write great documentation and bring order to messy systems
