Complete assigned work orders by diagnosing defects or problems and making repairs in accordance with policies, procedures, safety standards, and code requirements
Follow procedures for accessing and obtaining materials, supplies, equipment, tools, and other items from the property’s maintenance department and track inventory
Perform general park and facilities maintenance under minimum supervision to meet quality and efficiency standards
Promote positive, proactive resident relations and demonstrate fair, consistent treatment during all resident interactions
Assist with inspection of the property and common areas each morning to detect maintenance problems
Follow a preventative maintenance schedule
Contribute to occupancy goals and promote a quality living experience by effectively performing maintenance tasks
Serve as a resource for management and assist in developing and communicating more efficient maintenance methods
Participate in after-hour and emergency coverage rotation schedule
Safely use and maintain power tools and mechanical equipment
Requirements
1+ years prior experience as a Maintenance Technician at multi-family apartment community of 100+ units
Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to foster positive relationships with residents and collaborate effectively with team members
Exceptional time management and problem-solving skills
Must be able to respond to after hour emergencies as needed and participate in on-call rotation
Experience and knowledge of plumbing, HVAC, and appliance repair
Superior customer service, attention to detail, and time management skill
Dynamic self-starter who enjoys working with others and excels in a faced paced team-oriented environment
A positive attitude and a team player
Must have valid driver's license
Possession of a Certified Pool Operator (CPO) license is a plus
Bilingual in Spanish and English is preferred but not required
Must possess knowledge and skills in the safe use and maintenance of power tools and mechanical equipment
