About the role

  • Develop and implement global compensation strategies, including market benchmarking, salary structures, and merit-based increases.
  • Lead the annual review and update of salary scales and consulting fee frameworks.
  • Oversee the design and revision of global staff benefits and allowances (housing, pension, transportation, hardship, danger pay).
  • Benchmark benefits across staff groups; ensure internal equity and labor law compliance.
  • Evaluate and negotiate with benefits providers; monitor utilization and employee satisfaction.
  • Develop and maintain compensation and benefits policies and procedures; provide guidance on job grading and evaluations.
  • Supervise HR data analytics across multiple country offices; develop dashboards and reports for compensation, benefits, and workforce metrics.
  • Oversee monthly HR reporting and ensure accurate administration of the Leave module for CIMMYT-run offices.
  • Support position creation and maintenance in Dynamics 365 and provide technical assistance to HR teams.
  • Lead preparation and review of HR documentation for audits; coordinate with Finance, Donor Relations, and other units for audit responses.
  • Ensure compliance with internal controls and regulatory requirements related to compensation and benefits.
  • Supervise and validate outputs of the C&B team; foster collaboration across HR and other departments.
  • Communicate policies clearly to staff and supervisors and collaborate with Payroll and Finance on payroll provisions and on-cost mechanisms.

Requirements

  • Advanced knowledge of compensation and benefits frameworks, benchmarking methodologies, and policy implementation.
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Human Resources, Accounting, Business Administration, or related field.
  • Experience with HRIS systems (preferably Dynamics 365).
  • Strong analytical, reporting, and project management skills.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement abilities.
  • Proven leadership and team supervision experience.
  • Fluent in English (C1/C2 level).
