Translator

• Oral interpretation: from Kurdish to English and vice versa during confidential interviews with people deprived of liberty, ICRC institutional dissemination, ICRC dialogue with authorities, activities to establish the family links which includes delivering Red Cross messages, family tracing and visits to families of detainees.
• Written translation: translation of Kurdish language (newspaper articles, correspondence, etc.) into written English.
• Analysis and reporting as required: analysis of conditions of detention, security and other matters relating to the ICRC's mandate.
• Can be asked to provide support on other protection activities as needed.

Burmese Interpreter

General

• Advises the delegation on security risk assessment and associated mitigation measures while ensuring proper diffusion and access to information related to security in line with Duty of Care obligations.
• Compiles security related data/information, incidents, threats, trends and its source/origin on daily basis in security database (Safe Lens) with the necessary discretion and accuracy.
• Analyses security situation in Port Sudan/Khartoum and advises management on the potential risks to the ICRC staff, operations, and reputation.
• Organizes comprehensive security briefing for all new staff upon arrival/joining.
• Develops and maintains a network of interlocutors within the security community (Government, humanitarian sector, NGOs and iNGOs etc) in coordination with his/her direct supervisor.

Administrative Assistant

• Provide support for all aspects related to employee relations, offering guidance and counseling as needed
• Assist employees and managers with HR initiatives, administrative matters, promotions, organizational changes, and other HR-related concerns
• Provide overall support for HR administrative functions, ensuring smooth operation and accurate documentation
• Assist HR Officers in maintaining up-to-date employee files and ensuring the accuracy of information in the HR system across sites
• Support the preparation of HR-related documents such as employment contracts, performance appraisals, promotions, and holiday balance tracking
• Follow up on medical expenses and salary calculations for both sub-delegations and Kyiv delegation
• Contribute to various HR projects, working closely with HR administrators in both sub-delegations and Kyiv
• Assist the People Unit team in administering programs, procedures, and guidelines to ensure alignment with the organization’s strategic goals
• Support the Payroll Specialist in drafting and preparing monthly payroll information
