About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Advises the delegation on security risk assessment and associated mitigation measures while ensuring proper diffusion and access to information related to security in line with Duty of Care obligations.
Compiles security related data/information, incidents, threats, trends and its source/origin on daily basis in security database (Safe Lens) with the necessary discretion and accuracy.
Analyses security situation in Port Sudan/Khartoum and advises management on the potential risks to the ICRC staff, operations, and reputation.
Organizes comprehensive security briefing for all new staff upon arrival/joining.
Develops and maintains a network of interlocutors within the security community (Government, humanitarian sector, NGOs and iNGOs etc) in coordination with his/her direct supervisor.

Requirements

What you’ll need

Strongly motivated by humanitarian work
Able to work under pressure in a potentially dangerous environment
University degree.
Security & safety management background, experience in crisis management an asset, possible background in military, police or emergency services.
Excellent command of English and Arabic.
Computer literacy.
