About the role
- Use extensive product and process knowledge to solve complex technical issues
- Develop and innovate alternative processing paths
- Support sales, marketing, and manufacturing in the development of new plastic products
- Manage project resources, budgets, project timelines, and customer expectations
- Coordinate resources, evaluate individual project status, and ensure that the Plastic Innovation team stays on schedule
- Manage Plastic Innovation trial lines and lab technicians
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in chemical, Mechanical, or Plastics Engineering
- 10+ years of experience in plastics manufacturing, injection molding and thermoforming
- Strong project management skills with the ability to lead a team of internal and external resources
- Experience with injection molding processes and ability to detail product and tool design
- Experience in thermoforming process and ability to detail product and tool design
- Experience with plastics resin characteristics with application usage with LLDPE, LDPE, HDPE, PP, PS, and K-resin, compostable, and bio-degradable materials
- Understand the interaction of chemicals and general contaminates to enter transfer or migrate into on or through packaging materials
