About the role

  • Lead the Pricing engineering team responsible for delivering optimal price strategies across hotels, flights, and rental cars on Engine’s platform
  • Set clear goals, provide strategic direction, and develop talent to build a high-performing team
  • Manage end-to-end development lifecycle ensuring timely delivery, budget adherence, and technical excellence
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with product and data to align technical initiatives with business objectives and power pricing decisions
  • Drive efficiency through agile methodologies, refining workflows, tools, and processes using key performance metrics
  • Act as bridge between engineering and other teams translating complex technical concepts for stakeholders and leadership
  • Integrate emerging technologies and advocate for tools and strategies that enhance scalability and long-term technical success
  • Shape the future of Engine’s pricing platform and foster a collaborative, high-performing engineering culture

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in engineering, with at least 5 years in a management role
  • Proven track record of successfully leading engineering teams and delivering complex projects
  • Strong leadership and team-building abilities focused on driving performance and results
  • Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
  • Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills
  • Strong technical foundation with expertise in at least one of TypeScript/Node.js, Java/Kotlin, or Ruby on Rails
  • Experience working with AWS and Datadog
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (Master’s preferred)
  • Deep understanding of agile software development methodologies (Scrum, Kanban)
