- Break down complex technical challenges into manageable, actionable tasks
- Create comprehensive technical specifications, deployment guides, training materials, and system architecture documentation
- Lead and participate in design reviews and code reviews to maintain high development standards
- Partner with cross-functional Promotions and Loyalty teams to deliver robust technical solutions
- Work directly with internal and external clients to translate business needs into technical requirements
- Enhance and maintain our loyalty platforms while developing new features and custom client solutions
- Design efficient data models and optimize database queries in MySQL
- Contribute to best practices development and workflow improvements across the engineering organization
Requirements
- 2+ years of software engineering experience building enterprise-class web applications
- Deep expertise in Ruby, Rails, and SQL (MySQL) with a focus on scalable solution development
- Proficiency with version control systems (Git)
- Hands-on experience with Agile development methodologies and iterative project management
- Strong background in automated testing, system integration, database programming, web development, and cloud technologies
- AWS experience (strongly preferred)
- Additional languages/frameworks : Java/Spring Boot, Node.js (preferred)
- Database technologies : Redis experience (preferred)
- Frontend development : CSS, JavaScript, and modern UI frameworks (preferred)
- Testing expertise : Unit testing, integration testing, and test-driven development practices (preferred)
