About the role
- Lead, mentor, and develop a team of CPQ developers, architects, and analysts
- Plan and allocate resources for global and local business needs
- Oversee end-to-end CPQ tool development, from requirements gathering to deployment and support
- Collaborate with global stakeholders including sales, engineering, IT, and product management
- Drive process improvements in the sales cycle to reduce manual effort and accelerate quote turnaround
- Define and monitor KPIs such as First Pass Yield (FPY), On-Time Delivery (OTD), and tool efficiency
- Provide technical direction ensuring best practices in development, integration, and testing of CPQ tools
- Identify skill gaps and implement competency development and career growth strategies
- Develop and execute strategies for scope addition, team scaling, and long-term capability building
- Promote Diversity & Inclusion, ensure compliance with regulations, and live Hitachi Energy’s safety and integrity values
Requirements
- Bachelor’s/master’s degree in engineering or business administration
- 10+ years in transformer manufacturing industry
- Minimum of 5+ years in leadership role related to configurator management or e-commerce
- Proven experience in leading configurator management or similar role
- Strategic thinking with a proactive approach to growth and scalability
- Excellent communication, leadership, and team-building abilities
- Ability to manage and lead projects across multiple teams
- Familiarity with the latest trends in e-commerce and digital sales tools
- Strong interpersonal skills to manage team dynamics and resolve conflicts
- Proficiency in both spoken & written English
