Install, modify, and test high-voltage GIS equipment at customer sites.
Lead technical field assignments and make critical decisions.
Direct field teams and subcontractors to meet project goals.
Ensure construction meets drawings, specifications, and quality standards.
Promote safe practices and meet all health, safety, and environmental requirements.
Perform and document field testing and inspections.
Recommend improvements for performance and customer satisfaction.
Travel frequently to project sites, sometimes for extended periods.
Requirements
Candidate must already have work authorization that would permit them to work for Hitachi Energy in the United States.
2-5 years of proven experience in technical field service work.
Technical diploma/degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering (or equivalent) preferred.
Trade education and experience in Industrial Mechanic and Electrical fields will be considered.
Strong mechanical and electrical skills.
Experience leading crews on electrical projects.
Ability to read and interpret contracts, specifications, and technical drawings.
Proficient with MS Word, Excel, Outlook, SharePoint, and test equipment software.
Able to travel up to 80%, including to Canada and Mexico.
Valid US driver’s license.
Fluent in English.
