• The US Claims Vendor Manager is responsible for the strategic sourcing; oversight, performance management and continuous improvement of external claims vendors supporting the US claims operation.

• Monitor vendor performance using MI, audits and outcome metrics (e.g., cycle times, indemnity spend, leakage, customer outcomes).

• Adjusts and resolves low to moderate professional liability claims that include litigated matters
• Accurately documents claim files with all relevant claim documentation, correspondence and notes in compliance with company policies and applicable regulatory authorities
• Heavy customer facing role. Must have confident communication skills. Communicates effectively to resolve matters directly with claimants, and or claimant attorneys
• With minimal supervision, drafts coverage letters, including reservation of rights and denial letters
• Reviews and analyzes claims in order to determine appropriate and timely reserving per Hiscox Claims Best Practices

Complex Claims Specialist – MPL

Full-stack Engineer

• Lead the delivery and maintenance of applications and integrations supporting Group Functions and Business Units
• Provide hands-on technical leadership where needed (POCs, technical spikes, advisory work)
• Define and lead modern SDLC practices (code review, CI/CD, release/change management) and set engineering standards, patterns, and best practices that promote quality, maintainability, and scalability across Enterprise Tech
• Set expectations for production ownership (support/on-call as applicable), reliability, observability, incident management, and continuous improvement, ensuring resilient and well-run platforms
• Ensure solutions meet security, architecture, and operational standards, embedding secure-by-design practices and policy compliance into delivery

• Develop an understanding of Hiscox’s businesses and commercial landscape; staying abreast of risk trends and regulatory requirements to provide second line engagement and challenge.
• Lead second line risk reviews providing quantitative and qualitative insights and risk management recommendations.
• Support the Own Risk and Solvency Assessment (ORSA) process for Hiscox entities.
• Support the Risk & Control Self Assessments (RCSA) process and enhancements to the control landscape.
• Support the preparation of Board/Risk Committee packs and key deliverables to regulators.
• Foster a strong risk culture and hold first line owners to account for addressing key risk and control issues.
