Account Manager

• Take the lead in managing account teams, projects and programs
• Develop, organize and manage PR and IMC campaigns
• Develop and maintain deep knowledge of clients and the industry, including trends and issues that may affect clients, their competitors and stakeholders
• Provide strategic counsel to clients to aid their PR and broader marketing campaigns
• Guide the development of and deliver client-ready written materials, including press releases, client communications, social posts, ensuring documents are accurate and aligned with client strategy
• Lead client discussion on projects, both on team calls and in 1:1 communications to keep clients informed of status and next steps
• Work with team to develop strategic recommendations and presentations to clients, based on data and insights
• Develop media strategy and pitches and pitch stories to reporters/outlets; oversee team pitching efforts
• Offer insights and strategic recommendations to clients, influence decisions
• Report on project outcomes, metrics, analytics
• Own portions of the new business process, including developing insights from research to impact strategic recommendations, as well as tactical development
• Monitor team billing and flag discrepancies, possible over/under billing; advise team on billing status
• Coach and mentor staff; provide constructive feedback to help develop agency colleagues
• May have direct reports; meet weekly with team and help them set and achieve their professional goals
• Manages teams’ time to hours allocated
• Alerts account lead to challenges or obstacles

Digital Marketing

• Lead multi-channel B2B and B2C digital marketing programs for medtech and biotech companies developing therapies and technologies to improve human health
• Develop and execute multi-channel marketing plans aligned to client business objectives; most client needs focus on generating demand or leads among specific patient or healthcare provider populations or B2B programs to build belief in a corporate brand’s innovative science
• Create campaign forecasts and measurement plans based on target audience and campaign objective; translate metrics into meaningful insights to guide campaign optimization.
• Manage and optimize campaigns that leverage paid social, search, programmatic, mobile, email, site direct advertising, native advertising, influencer marketing, conference sponsorships, field sales channels, and traditional advertising, as appropriate.
• Work with digital ad platforms, demand-side providers, publishers, and other organizations to identify optimal channel mix and budget allocation to meet client goals
• Guide teammates on building target ad groups based on audience insights and customer personas, activating campaigns, measuring performance and optimizaing to drive efficiency
• Drive campaign website/landing page development projects, with support from creative and web development professionals
• Collaborate effectively with marketing, public relations, and creative colleagues as well as clients
• Manage campaign/project budgets and allocated hours across project team and promptly alert senior leaders to potential issues and/or opportunities
• Provide strategic marketing counsel and technical guidance to colleagues and clients. Effectively communicate recommendations and results to the C-suite, through both formal presentations and day-to-day communication.

• Lead clients and teams; gaining and sustaining client trust by delivering timely results and strategic recommendations
• Maintain deep knowledge of clients and the industry, including trends and issues that may affect clients, their competitors and stakeholders
• Serve as main client contact for day-to-day activities; drive client and internal meetings
• Review and provide counsel on written materials, ensure documents are strategic, accurate, and well written
• Work with senior leaders to develop recommendations and presentations to clients and prospects, including writing portions of plans and presentations
• Drive client and internal meetings
• Oversee client budgets; prepare invoice summaries
• Supervise staff; delegate and assign tasks to appropriate team members and provide guidance to meet client needs and encourage team member growth
• Work with account teams to manage timelines, develop action plans and counsel clients
• Oversee media strategy development
• Participate in determining staffing allocations and account projections
• Be the go-to resource on team for billing and resource allocation; flag budget and staffing issues
• Participate in new business discussions; own portions of new business presentations, including strategy and tactical development; able to help identify organic growth opportunities that span H+C services (PR, IMC, etc.) and work cross collaboratively to secure and staff the work
• Coach and mentor staff; complete regular goals reviews and evaluations for direct reports according to agency policies
• Unfailingly reliable; ensures client work is completed, meeting or exceeding expectations, while supporting team members
• Proactively flags to senior leaders and/or clients when projects are at risk and identify solutions
• Acts and works independently to deliver results and solve problems; brings in senior leadership when needed
• Manages individual and team time to hours allocated; records hours daily in Harvest
