About the role
- Lead strategic projects and programs that may span across functional areas
- Establish enterprise project management practices to create consistent reporting and tracking
- Manage stakeholder reviews of strategic projects
- Establish templates and standards for successful project planning, execution, change management, and risk mitigation
- Develop consistent frameworks for prioritization, investment tracking, and measuring outcomes
- Drive continuous improvement in project delivery, risk management, and resource planning practices
- Analyze internal workflows and tools
- Create a roadmap of improvements and lead the adoption of those changes
- Evaluate Agile practices and bottlenecks between functional areas
- Drive improvements to overall ways of working
- Support the creation of roadmaps and facilitate regular planning cycles
- Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and professional growth
- Mentor employees interested in moving into project management roles, or that have project management as part of their existing responsibilities
- Partner with stakeholders to ensure successful adoption of new processes, systems, and ways of working
- Communicate program progress, risks, and outcomes clearly to executive stakeholders and the broader organization
- Promote transparency and data-driven decision-making through dashboards, KPIs, and executive reporting
Requirements
- 8-10 years of experience in program or project management, with a minimum of three years in a leadership role
- Proven track record of managing complex, cross-functional programs from inception to delivery
- Strategic thinking and ability to align programs with business goals
- Strong leadership and team management skills
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities
- Risk management and problem-solving expertise
- Resource planning experience
- Proficiency in program management tools (e.g., TFS, Jira, Asana, MS Project, Smartsheet, Excel)
- Certifications preferred in PMP (Project Management Professional), or PgMP (Program Management Professional), and Agile/Scrum certifications (e.g., SAFe, CSM, PMI-ACP)
