Identify and troubleshoot problematic meters and other metering equipment.
Ensure each home has a working meter.
Review and approve monthly utility billing.
Detect leaks and assist teams in finding and correcting them.
Manage utility expenses by submitting sewer leak adjustments and negotiating waste removal contracts.
Audit utility invoices, including waste removal invoices, to ensure rates are correct.
Budgeting (~10% of time)
Assist the Utility Billing Manager with creating annual utility income and expense budgets.
Monthly budget change request
Community Support (~40% of time)
Serve as an account admin for Waterscope.
Assist field staff by troubleshooting utility billing issues and questions from residents.
Inspect and audit resident billing information for accuracy.
Research, interpret, and analyze account history to resolve billing questions on meter readings.
Serve as the in-house expert for meter reading systems, devices, and software
Requirements
Education: You have a bachelor’s degree. A degree in business administration, business management, or business operations is preferred but not required.
Experience: You have 1+ years’ of experience in multi-family home utility billing. Manufactured home experience is a plus.
Physical Demands: You can spend long hours sitting while using office equipment, such as computers.
Skills: You have strong organizational skills and attention to detail. You are able to think critically and are a problem solver. In addition, you have excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Additional Requirements: You are technologically proficient with MS Office software products and able to learn new programs with ease.
