About the role
- Generate new opportunities through outbound prospecting and initiate strategic conversations.
- Conduct over 100 cold calls to prospective buyers and facilitate next steps such as scheduling meetings for Account Executives.
- Identify high-potential clients, qualify interest, and book meetings.
- Partner closely with Account Executives and collaborate cross-functionally to drive pipeline generation and account planning.
- Communicate Gusto Pro’s value to prospects, highlighting how the platform helps firms streamline operations and better serve their clients.
- Accurately log activities and insights in Salesforce and maintain a disciplined, data-driven approach to outreach.
- Consistently meet monthly metrics and contribute to a high-performing team culture focused on results and career development.
Requirements
- 2-4 years of B2B sales or outbound prospecting experience, ideally in SaaS, HCM, HR Tech, or FinTech.
- Expertise in outbound prospecting and sales strategy, with a proven track record of success.
- Advanced written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to craft and deliver compelling messaging.
- Strong command of Salesforce, Outreach, LinkedIn Sales Navigator, and similar tools with demonstrated mastery in managing the sales pipeline.
- Strong judgment in handling complex situations, including decision-making in ambiguous or challenging scenarios.
- Able to mentor junior team members and provide guidance on best practices and strategy.
- Takes initiative and requires minimal direction, with the ability to work independently and collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
- Ability to engage with high-level decision-makers and executives.
- Willingness to work from office on designated days (approx. 2-3 days per week) if based in Denver, San Francisco, or New York.
