About the role
- Responsible for the development, implementation, and administration of ServiceNow applications.
- Translate complex business requirements into technical designs and solutions using ServiceNow.
- Lead development of ServiceNow applications, ensuring alignment with business objectives and best practices.
- Provide technical expertise and guidance to other ServiceNow developers and development teams.
- Develop, configure, and enhance ServiceNow applications, modules, and scoped apps.
- Conduct technical assessments and provide recommendations for improving existing ServiceNow implementations.
- Review functionality developed by the ServiceNow development team; perform unit, system, and integration testing.
- Debug and fix technical problems; ensure security, scalability, and maintainability of solutions.
- Support development of detailed technical and functional documentation and provide demonstrations to product owners and end users.
- Participate in platform upgrade activities, including regression testing and reconfiguration.
- Stay current with ServiceNow products, features, and industry trends to drive innovation.
Requirements
- Must be able to OBTAIN and MAINTAIN a Federal or DoD "SECRET" security clearance; candidates must obtain approved adjudication of clearance prior to onboarding with Guidehouse.
- Minimum Years of Experience: 5 years of ServiceNow experience supported by ServiceNow certifications (e.g., CSA, CIS, CAD).
- Minimum Degree Required: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Business, or related field.
- Experience with Software Development Lifecycle methodologies, deliverables, and controls.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Expertise in ServiceNow Modules such as GRC, SPM, and ITSM, as well as with App Engine and Scoped Apps.
- Experience with web services integration, specifically Mid-Server, SOAP, and REST, preferred.
- Strong experience with scripting (JavaScript, Glide, AngularJS), Flow Designer, and IntegrationHub.
- Experience working in an Agile environment.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment and build rapport at all levels.
- Ability to self-direct, prioritize, and manage multiple tasks; heightened attention to detail.
- (Nice-to-have) Experience with ServiceNow automated testing framework (ATF).
- (Nice-to-have) Agile, SCRUM or SAFe certifications.
- (Nice-to-have) General understanding of financial management aspects in a federal environment.
- Candidates with an ACTIVE "SECRET" or higher-level clearance are preferred.
- Ability to commute to client or corporate offices within the Washington, DC metropolitan area 2-3 days per week (preferred).
