About the role
- Manage a portfolio of Energy Efficiency/Electrification programs across multiple locations.
- Develop and deliver Energy Efficiency (EE), electrification and/or decarbonization solutions.
- Lead team and partner management of various functional groups, clients, and stakeholders.
- Build and maintain relationships with state and local government clients.
- Lead the planning and implementation of energy efficiency rebate programs.
- Coordinate with Guidehouse market teams and the national team to support scalable EE, electrification and/or decarbonization solutions.
- Support development and shaping of opportunities in collaboration with market teams to meet bookings goals.
- Lead development and pricing for solutions including pre-sales calls, project scope definition, RFP responses, client presentations, statement of work development, resource planning, budget estimating.
- Participate in negotiation of contracts and provide input during SOW development and scope changes/enhancements.
- Direct and coordinate cross-functional teams (delivery, solutions, engineering, marketing, analytics, managed services, financial services, software development, partners), typically 20+ people.
- Build, manage and maintain client relationships and expectations; resolve project issues and proactively identify project risks with recommendations for resolution.
- Develop relationships and/or manage sub-contractors or vendors including deliverables, resources and budgets.
- Coordinate and lead internal and external meetings with internal teams, clients, partners and diverse stakeholders at all levels.
- Ensure solutions align with client program goals and overall business objectives.
- Provide leadership, mentoring, and training to team members on project development and client management skills.
- Provide ongoing feedback and input into future solution needs and enhancements.
- Develop comprehensive understanding of program design and delivery best practices for efficient execution and proper budget management.
- Forecast and track portfolio-level budgets and maintain resource plans aligned with budgets to ensure goals are met.
- Train teams on planning and implementation best practices for specific solutions.
Requirements
- Due to nature of client engagements, must either be a US Citizen or US Permanent Resident.
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field.
- Require 5+ years of total professional working experience.
- Experience working in the energy industry and or state and local energy programs.
- Solid understanding of energy efficiency measures for residential homes and multi-family housing.
- Solid understanding of federal, state, or local rebate/grant programs for residential and/or multi-family end users.
- Knowledge of low-to-moderate income energy or state/federal programs.
- Knowledge of economic analysis in developing business cases for businesses to implement energy efficiency measures.
- Demonstrated history of meeting and exceeding multi-million-dollar business development and managed revenue targets.
- Demonstrated leadership experience in managing teams, providing feedback, mentoring, and coaching team members.
- Knowledge and experience with project management practices and techniques.
- Startup mentality, resourceful and self-motivated.
- Ability to coordinate diverse program stakeholders both internal and external.
- Proven ability to build, manage and foster a team-oriented environment across multiple business units and stakeholders (all levels).
- Excellent verbal, interpersonal, written communication, and presentation skills.

- Ability to travel including overnight travel, depending on client or project needs.
- Ability to work onsite at a Guidehouse Office or Client Office location.
- Current Project Management Professional (PMP) certification (preferred).
- Management consulting experience in energy industry (excluding Oil & Gas) and or State & Local Government (preferred).
- Successful business development experience in the Energy industry (excluding Oil & Gas) and or State & Local Government (preferred).
