About the role
- Provide commercialization strategy and reimbursement services to pharmaceutical, biotechnology, medical device, and diagnostics companies.
- Support client services ranging from pre-commercialization marketing strategies to working with managed care organizations to develop policies affecting the use and payment of therapies or diagnostics.
- Schedule and conduct interviews with physicians, payers, and other thought leaders in healthcare.
- Gather and analyze medical literature, healthcare market reports and databases.
- Participate in document writing, production, and client presentations.
- Partner with clients across all levels to deliver product planning, pricing, reimbursement, product commercialization, and regulatory and compliance solutions.
- Work collaboratively within Guidehouse Life Sciences teams to support all aspects of project work.
- Travel as required by project (averages ~20%).
- Contribute to mentorship and professional development culture.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree, major course of study in science, biomedical engineering, or healthcare policy and planning.
- 3-5 years of consulting or related work experience in market access, reimbursement, pricing, and/or health economics.
- Strong analytical skills and a deep interest in healthcare with an eye towards market access and reimbursement.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Knowledge of US and/or Global pricing & market access, developed via experience in healthcare consulting or within the pharmaceutical industry.
- Travel required: Up to 25% (project dependent).
- Clearance Required: None.
- Nice to have: MBA/MS/MPH/PhD preferred.
- Ability to clearly communicate the clinical and business implications of technically complex products and services.
- Strong team players, take initiative, and think strategically and creatively.
