About the role
- Field based role providing technical customer support for Glory’s automation solutions
- Troubleshoot and repair electromechanical equipment on customer sites
- Perform equipment pre-staging, installations/commissioning, and remedial repairs
- Perform Preventative Maintenance and install approved software updates
- Recognise and follow Escalation Procedures for service calls and faults
- Provide phone support and assist with equipment preparation/dispatch when in-house
- Close service calls promptly, within SLA, and to customer satisfaction
- Complete administrative paperwork timely and accurately and debrief/report service calls to manager
- Perform assignments as required by Customer Support Team or manager
- Adhere to Health & Safety policies, report incidents and hazards promptly
Requirements
- Recognised engineering qualification or equivalent technical skill experience in servicing and maintaining electromechanical machines
- Electrical Appliance Service Person certification
- Current driver’s licence
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in a technical support role handling complex technical issues
- Excellent communication (written and verbal) and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and set priorities to meet customer and organisational expectations
- Proven problem solving and analytical skills
- Excellent organisational skills
- Strong customer service orientation
- Ability to handle high-pressure situations
- Self-motivated with the ability to meet deadlines
- Commercial awareness
- Understanding of entitlements and service contract coverage levels
- Knowledge of practises to prevent Electro Static Discharge damage to components
