About the role
- Prospect and run Heartland Point of Sale presentations in-person and over the phone to small and mid-sized merchants and restaurateurs
- Set appointments with business owners via network and referral partnerships
- Uncover client needs, demonstrate cloud-based POS solution, and close sales within a fast sales cycle
- Upsell current clients on other Heartland products and services
- Maintain client records and call notes in CRM (Atlas) and use Salesforce for lead generation and contract processing
- Achieve minimum production requirements and quota, including setting first time appointments
- Receive training accompanied by District Manager and coaching from a Director
- Continuously build product and industry knowledge and attend weekly team meetings and one-on-ones with leader
Requirements
- Excellent prospecting, communication, presentation, and networking skills
- Works well independently and as part of a team
- Incentive-driven sales “hunter”
- Professional demeanor and impeccable integrity
- High sense of urgency and innate sales talent
- Enjoys cold-calling and speaking with people face to face
- Knowledge of Restaurant and/or Retail industry is a plus
- 18 years of age or older
- Regular short-distance travel to visit client sites
- Completion of mandatory drug screening on or near 60th day of employment
- Live in area relative to job posting location
- Ability to be in the field a minimum of 75% of the time
- Preferred: High school diploma/GED
- Preferred: At least two years of relevant experience
