About the role

  • About Us: Giant Pumpkin is an innovative startup partnering with global hospitality, QSR, and retail brands across Southeast Asia to create smarter in-store experiences via digital signage, audience analytics, music streaming, and other media solutions.
  • Role overview: Establish presence in retail digital technology across Singapore and Malaysia; identify opportunities, connect with clients, and coordinate with Bangkok HQ on regional accounts.
  • Responsibilities: conduct in-depth market research; identify high-potential clients; cultivate and nurture lasting client relationships; design and execute a business development plan for Singapore and Malaysia; negotiate and close complex contracts; analyze market dynamics and provide competitor analyses and forecasts; track KPIs and report to management; collaborate with frontline sales and support teams and ensure SOP adherence; travel frequently within Singapore, Malaysia and Bangkok on short notice.
  • How impact is measured: new business generation quarter-over-quarter and year-over-year; conversion rate from cold outreach to clients; revenue and profit margin per account; peer feedback on collaboration and communication with Bangkok HQ.

Requirements

  • 3 years proven experience as a performing business development experience inside Singapore and Malaysia.
  • Proven enterprise sales experience: delivering compelling pitches and closing complex, high-level deals.
  • Rooted in Singapore with experience working in Malaysia; readiness for daily client interactions and strategic trips to Bangkok HQ.
  • Strong network of high-impact connections across Singapore and Malaysia (a "black book" of contacts).
  • Proficient in EXCEL, CRMs, Google Suite, and communication platforms like Slack; strong data analysis skills.
  • Excellent communication and persuasion skills; ability to rapidly build trust and convert leads into long-term clients.
  • Detail-oriented process owner who proactively refines processes to improve results.
