Backend Engineer

• Build new cloud features in Python, focused on serverless patterns (Azure Functions).
• Develop and expose APIs to support internal integrations and automation.
• Pair with our senior developer to understand the domain, learn the existing Perl codebase, and progressively modernize components.
• Refactor or rewrite selected Perl components into Python over time (incremental, low-risk modernization with safe cutovers).
• Share tooling and best practices to improve Azure and serverless familiarity across the team.
• Package Python code into reusable modules/libraries and publish through a repeatable release process (versioning, artifacts, CI/CD).
• Contribute to documentation, testing, and operational readiness (logging, monitoring, troubleshooting, runbooks).

Intermediate Developer, Python, Serverless, APIs

• Lead the design and development of new cloud features in Python, with a focus on serverless patterns (Azure Functions)
• Architect and expose APIs to support internal integrations and automation initiatives
• Mentor and guide a small team of developers, fostering skill growth and best practices in coding, testing, and DevOps
• Pair with other developers to deeply understand the domain, oversee the maintenance of the existing Perl codebase, and plan/execute progressive modernization to Python

• Advise clients on tariff classification, valuation, country of origin, and free trade agreement qualification
• Support compliance activities including verifications and post-entry corrections
• Prepare scope of work proposals and identify client risks and refund opportunities
• Compile customs documentation and manage post-entry filings
• Research and resolve supplemental duty bills and penalties
• Generate reports to support trade operations

Account Manager

• Oversee the client relationship and deliver outstanding service to multiple business contacts for one of GHY’s top clients.
• Ensure account setup, databases, and information flow are structured to support timely and compliant entry processing.
• Shape release strategies that align with client expectations and regulatory standards.
• Lead and support Trade Specialists, ensuring coverage and operational continuity.
• Serve as the primary contact for clients, CBP, and PGAs, building strong relationships.
• Collaborate with other leadership to deliver seamless service.
• Provide hands-on support with entry filing, audits, reporting, issue resolution, and database management.
• Stay current on customs regulations and apply and communicate updates effectively.
