Deliver proactive guidance curriculum to individuals and groups\n
Engage students in academic and career planning assessments, interpret results, and assist student with developing a plan that leads to student success and on-time graduation\n
Respond to individual and group needs with responsive counseling and programming\n
Review transfer student transcripts and inform appropriate course placements\n
Maintain and review transcripts for active students and inform credit award procedures\n
Create and maintain student graduation plans\n
Provide career readiness curriculum and facilitate creation of career plans\n
Engage students in academic and career planning assessments, interpret results, and assist student with developing a plan that leads to student success and on-time graduation\n
Coordinate career fairs, graduate fairs, and special career focused events\n
Deliver Life Skills curriculum\n
Create and maintain Student 504 plans\n
Analyze student data to provide input on appropriate academic programs and interventions\n
Travels to support testing efforts and school events within the state as needed
Requirements
Valid Georgia School Counselor license\n
Bachelor’s degree plus one (1) year previous experience in counseling and/or advisement OR equivalent combination of education and experience\n
Experience with the ASCA model\n
Experience with K-12 online learning\n
Experience with Local, State, and Federal laws and mandated reporting\n
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Google Suite Products\n
Ability to handle confidential information responsibly and exhibit sound judgment while maintaining that confidentiality.\n
Ability to manage difficult or emotional situations and make evidence-based decisions\n
Excellent written and oral communication skills.\n
Ability to work well under pressure, effectively prioritizing and executing tasks to meet deadlines consistently.\n
