About the role
- Provide short-term and long-term virtual therapy sessions
- Conduct comprehensive assessments of clients' presenting concerns
- Develop targeted treatment plans and facilitate referrals as needed
- Follow clinical protocols and support client safety assessments
- Assess, diagnose, and generate treatment plans to deliver mental health treatment
- Activate appropriate referrals to other care teams or community resources
- Maintain accurate documentation for all client interactions within First Stop Health system
- Stay current with telehealth counseling trends and evidence-based treatment modalities
Requirements
- A Master’s Degree in an area of Mental Health (psychology, social work, counseling, etc.)
- Active independent licensure in the state of Alabama
- Licensure in 2+ states highly desired
- Interest and ability to provide both short-term and long-term therapy
- Strong Interpersonal Skills, with a focus on customer service
- Capacity to connect meaningfully with patients during first encounter
- Sound clinical judgment
- Self-starter
- Collaborative spirit
- Clear communicator
- Flexible and willing to learn new skills
- Must have high-speed internet and a private confidential workspace free from distraction, disruption or noise that is consistently professional in appearance
- Organizational skill with attention-to-detail and competent time-management
- Ability to work independently in a deadline-oriented environment
- Microsoft Office proficiency
