About the role
- Work closely with Team leader and Team members and support junior colleagues.
- Perform Senior AR Specialist daily activities and coach others to complete metrics.
- Timely and active contact with external customers regarding unpaid invoices via inbound/outbound calls, emails, online meetings.
- Validate reasons for delinquency using internal/external information and analyze root causes for non-payment and disputes.
- Analyze miscellaneous items/open credit balances and communicate with customers to allocate or process refunds.
- Prepare and process accounts reconciliation with external/internal customers.
- Monitor and escalate delayed resolution of disputes and process write-offs or legal actions when needed.
- Run and improve reports on a daily, weekly, and monthly basis and ensure reports meet risk & financial requirements.
- Coordinate payment plan proposals, pre-bankruptcy and pre-receivership recoveries (once approved by risk department).
- Act as second voice collector on escalated aged items, act as buddy for new joiners, and participate in special projects.
Requirements
- Full professional knowledge of Spanish, min. C1 and English B2.
- Business School Degree or qualification or minimum relevant work experience directly related experience to either cash collection or customer service, ideally in a multinational environment.
- Ability to work under pressure in a dynamic environment.
- Microsoft Office proficiency, especially Excel.
- Cash collection skills, with detail orientation.
- Basic financial analysis skills.
- Ability to be hardworking and to think “outside the box”.
- Interpersonal and teamwork skills.
- Verbal and written communication skills.
- Preferred: Problem solving; Cultural awareness in a diverse and international environment; Thirst for learning.
