About the role
- Support DHS and other national security programs; coordinate and ensure performance across IT and mission portfolio
- Partner with Business Development, Capture and CTO teams to manage business operations and coordinate talent acquisition and development activities
- Execute Sector-wide priorities and align with Sector and Division strategies to ensure information flow and compliance
- Maintain budgets for equipment and support and ensure contracts and programs perform
- Create business and operations strategies to achieve targets and adapt to economic trends
- Manage customer relationships and provide technical oversight of the portfolio
- Coordinate activities and resourcing across sector growth and operations teams
- Create briefing materials and business intelligence reports to improve customer interactions and value
- Develop relationships across GDIT functional, growth, and operations teams, industry partners, and customers
- Act as primary operational interface with key stakeholders and coordinate data calls for compliance
- Support Sector VPGM in planning high-profile meetings and employee engagement activities
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in information technology, business, or a related discipline is required
- 5+ years of experience leading small to medium sized teams
- Must be local to the area and able to work onsite
- Exceptional judgement, discretion and proven ability to anticipate issues and proactive in nature
- In-depth knowledge of the DHS mission and market
- Ability to coordinate and manage the activities related to sector operations and strategy
- Ability to effectively engage with C-suite leadership
- Ability to thrive in a highly collaborative, fast-paced, growth-focused environment
- Ability to motivate teams to perform exceptionally over long stretches of time and in challenging situations
- Ability to communicate exceptionally, including customer and board-level briefings
- Working relationships with current DHS employees and potential teaming partners
- Knowledge of homeland security challenges and solutions, as well as DHS relationship to the intelligence community and law enforcement partners
- Experience serving the broader DHS market
- Some degree of business acumen and exposure and/or experience to government contracting
- Occasional travel in the US
- Secret or Top Secret clearance preferred
- US Citizenship required
- Prior experience as a DHS Federal Employee a plus
- DHS EoD a plus
