About the role
- Lead the architecture, implementation, and optimization of AWS infrastructure to support innovative AI workloads
- Collaborate with data scientists, security teams, and stakeholders to deliver secure, scalable cloud environments using best-practice DevSecOps methodologies
- Drive cost optimization, security compliance, and operational excellence through automation
- Mentor junior engineers and foster innovation in a small, agile team
- Utilize AWS services (e.g., EC2, S3, ECS, EKS, Lambda, Bedrock, SageMaker, OpenSearch, ECR, DynamoDB, RDS, VPC), CloudFormation, Linux, Bash/Python scripting, Docker, Kubernetes, and Git
- Lead architecture and implementation to support AI proof-of-concepts
- Create and standardize Confluence documentation, including architecture diagrams using Draw.io or Visio
- Ensure high availability and compliance
Requirements
- 8+ years of related experience
- Bachelor of Arts/Bachelor of Science
- Advanced proficiency in Linux OS
- Bash/Python scripting
- CloudFormation
- Networking
- Automation

- Kubernetes
- Extensive experience with AWS services including IAM, S3, Route53, EC2, ECS, EKS, ECR, Lambda, Bedrock, SageMaker, CloudWatch, DynamoDB, RDS, and VPC
- Proven leadership in small, agile teams using Kanban and Agile methodologies
- Expertise in designing IAM policies and security groups
- Experience with cost optimization (e.g., rightsizing resources, automating shutdowns)
- Ability to create and standardize Confluence documentation, including architecture diagrams using Draw.io or Visio
- Strong communication skills for mentoring and collaborating with data scientists and security teams
- AWS certifications highly desired (e.g., AWS Certified Solutions Architect Professional or DevOps Engineer Professional)
