About the role
- Design, implement, and maintain AWS cloud infrastructure, ensuring scalability, reliability, and security
- Architect and manage networking, storage, compute, and security within AWS
- Lead automation initiatives for provisioning, monitoring, and incident response
- Optimize infrastructure performance and cost management
- Establish and enforce security best practices across cloud environments
- Stay ahead of AWS innovations and proactively adopt relevant new technologies
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex infrastructure issues in production and non-production environments
- Support development teams by enabling seamless deployments and integrating cloud infrastructure into the software delivery lifecycle
Requirements
- 5+ years of professional experience as a Cloud Engineer, Infrastructure Engineer, or similar role, with a strong focus on AWS
- Deep expertise with core AWS services (EC2, ECS/EKS, RDS, S3, VPC, IAM, CloudWatch, CloudFormation/Terraform)
- Strong experience with Infrastructure as Code (CloudFormation, Terraform)
- Proficiency in automation and scripting (Python, Bash, or similar)
- Hands-on experience with monitoring, alerting, and logging tools
- Solid understanding of networking, security, and compliance in cloud environments
- Familiarity with containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes) is a plus
- Exposure to CI/CD pipelines and version control (Bitbucket or Git-based workflows)
- Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to design and implement scalable solutions
- Strong communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams
- Fluency in both Spanish and English (written and spoken)
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field, or equivalent hands-on experience
- AWS certifications (Solutions Architect Professional, DevOps Engineer Professional, or SysOps Administrator) are highly valued
- Proven experience leading cloud infrastructure projects from design to production
