About the role
- Project Management, Costing, Planning, Coordination and Execution of Nuclear Field Services Projects
- Supporting Proposal Development and Contract Negotiation
- Request opening of projects in ERP System; SME for install/maintenance services during R process
- Attend pre-proposal and negotiation meetings, develop scope and schedule, loadboard, JCE, tooling, quotes, parts, resources, deliverables
- Job Site/Outage planning prior to mobilization; Generate JIS, Labor and Specialty Service requests
- Coordinate Design Eng., Customer coordination, Pre Site work (T-12, T-6), Coordinate LORaP workshops
- Request internal and external PO’s; Develop GE OneEHS plan pre-mobilization and ensure Development One EHS plan upon site mobilization
- Outage Planning: Work order task plans considering safety, equipment availability, parts, tooling, specialty services and resources
- Development and management of costs with ongoing estimates to completion; manage project schedules and payment milestones
- Risk and Opportunity management; ensure risks and issues identified and mitigation plans developed
- Issue resolution during project execution including Safety/HOP/Quality/FME/Generate NCR’s/Parts/Product Service/Engineering/Controls/Commercial
- Provide accurate management reports; ensure all project authorization secured technically and financially
- Manage Scope Change Authorization; Provide project leadership from conception through delivery; conduct project feedback reviews
- Ensure completion of project field services report; execution of ETC 127 process; Generate POR Document, Project close out, generate BP, LL’s and OE summary
- Promote GE products in front of customers; Maintain relations with customers, peers, Engineering, and global teams
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Math) or related technical discipline from an accredited university or college
- 7+ years of relevant project management experience within the power generation or industrial manufacturing industry
- 5+ years of relevant commercial and negotiation experience
- Proficient in the English language
- Ability to gain and maintain unescorted access to a Nuclear power facility in the U.S, Canada, and Mexico
- Ability to travel, up to 50% annually, within Canada, Mexico, domestically and internationally
- Ability to obtain and maintain a valid passport
- Ability and willingness to work weekends, holidays and overtime as required for the assigned projects
- Ability to walk up to 5 miles a day, climb 3 flights of stairs 3 times a day, and climb ladders as required to access the work areas
- Knowledge of PMP concepts and processes (desired)
- Experience with Steam Power systems either in a Nuclear, Fossil or Gas power plant setting (desired)
- Practical knowledge of GE products is a plus but not necessity (desired)
- Proficiency in Excel, Word, PowerPoint and working knowledge of Primavera P6
- Strong verbal communication skills and customer focused mindset
