About the role
- Ensure GE tendering policy is understood and applied across the team
- Manage primarily complex proposals for North America and other regions from opportunity identification through to purchase order execution
- Lead complex bid processes and coordinate with internal departments to ensure compliance with deadlines and customer requirements
- Work with Purchasing to support and obtain quotes for service estimates
- Define market pricing levels, assess opportunity risk, and ensure timely delivery and accuracy of proposals
- Negotiate contracts with customers
- Support the Sales Team on major projects (80%) and prepare quotes for both small and large projects
- Build internal relationships with Business Development Managers and Key Account Managers
- Participate in weekly review and pacing calls
- Analyze RFQ risk — define scope of solution and identify risks
- Collaborate with Project Management on change orders
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree, preferably in Electrical Engineering, or equivalent
- Proven experience in both commercial and tendering roles within a similar commercial environment
- Experience in the high-voltage transmission market preferred
- Knowledge of the domestic market is required
- Fluent English is mandatory; French would be a plus
