About the role
- Quota achievement in retaining and growing Total Sales Bookings (TSB) to ensure net revenue growth for a portfolio of conferences and/or clients
- Build face-to-face relationships with senior executives at major IT vendor organizations to drive conference exhibitor sales
- Account planning, territory management, and strong prospecting to develop pipeline
- Coordinate inter-departmental resources across Gartner lines of business to deliver integrated solutions
- Renewal activities focused on client needs and development of high-level client relationships
- Develop integrated contract-based solutions and manage contract/booking process compliance
- Timely and accurate revenue forecasting and pipeline management
- Deliver high-quality Gartner-format presentations and represent Gartner at conferences and client meetings
- Travel to conferences and client meetings (5+ conferences per year)
Requirements
- Minimum 4+ years of proven consultative sales experience
- Experience in the high-tech industry (services, software, or hardware) preferred
- Proven ability to understand enterprise-wide issues and structure innovative, integrated solutions
- Knowledge of the issues faced by C-level heads of Sales and Marketing
- Good understanding of business buying centers
- Solid industry-specific and account knowledge
- Proficient in account planning and territory management
- Strong prospecting skills
- Maintain or exceed pipeline goal of 3x value of sales forecast
- Timely and accurate revenue forecasting (ability to forecast 30/60/90 days out +/− 5% accuracy)
- Compliance in utilizing internal sales enablement tools such as salesforce.com and management processes
- Delivering high-quality presentations in the Gartner format
- Ability to travel to conferences, client meetings, and competitive conferences (5+ conferences per year)
