About the role

Develop and maintain strong relationships with carriers, forwarders, and other logistics partners to ensure cost-effective, reliable, and timely transportation services
Assist in the development and implementation of logistics strategies, policies, and procedures using KPIs to drive continuous improvement and cost savings
Oversee and support Truckload, LTL, and parcel shipping operations; collaborate with cross-functional teams to troubleshoot shipment issues, optimize transportation processes, and ensure compliance
Coordinate with warehouse, commercial, and finance teams to analyze and monitor trade lane volumes and align to key strategic logistics partners
Monitor industry trends, market conditions, and emerging technologies to identify opportunities for process improvement and cost reduction
Support U.S. transportation operations for Headwater Distribution or Franklin Water Treatment locations; work on-site at corporate office in Fort Wayne, Indiana, or at U.S. Headwater Distribution or Water Treatment locations
Report to Nathan Clem

Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a related field
Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in transportation management, including freight forwarding, truckload, LTL, and parcel operations
Strong knowledge of domestic transportation regulations and procedures
Excellent communication, problem-solving, and negotiation skills
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
Experience with Oracle Transportation Management (OTM) and Oracle JD Edwards (JDE) preferred
Travel requirements up to 15%
