Lead engineering for core automotive manufacturing processes including structures and assembly through the industrialization of next generation electric vehicles
Manage personnel, budgets, and timelines for vehicle operations
Ensure manufacturing processes adhere to safety, quality, and regulatory standards, especially for EV-specific systems
Drive innovation, Lean, and continuous improvement in manufacturing techniques for advanced EV body architectures
Optimize integration of components and complex EV systems during final assembly
Supervise, mentor, and develop a high-performing team of engineers
Plan, coordinate, and execute complex engineering projects related to new EV model launches and assembly line retooling
Oversee DFM/DFA for EV body structure designs, crashworthiness, and lightweighting
Ensure quality gates and compliance for high-voltage battery systems and EV crash safety
Implement lean manufacturing practices, automation initiatives, and advanced robotics
Act as technical liaison between EV Product Development, Manufacturing Engineering, Plant Operations, Quality Assurance, Supply Chain, and external suppliers
Develop and manage department budgets, capital investment planning, and long-term electrification strategies
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in an engineering discipline - Mechanical, Automotive, Manufacturing, Materials, or Electrical engineering
Significant experience, often 7-10+ years’ experience in the automotive industry, with a strong emphasis on high-volume manufacturing environments
5 or more years of salary supervisory experience
Master’s Degree in Engineering Management, Automotive Engineering, or a related field with a focus on manufacturing or EV technology (preferred)
Prior leadership and project management experience, ideally with a focus on electric vehicle production or new vehicle launches (preferred)
Automotive engineering leadership experiences specifically in EV architecture, battery system integration, body structures, final assembly, large-scale casting, Lean methodology, and digital manufacturing tools (preferred)

Strong problem-solving and analytical abilities
Adaptability and resilience in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment
Excellent organizational and project management capabilities, with a proven track record of delivering complex manufacturing projects on time and within budget
