About the role

  • Develop diagnostic tests in collaboration with software teams for comprehensive product functional testing to identify and isolate failures during production
  • Create detailed end-to-end test plans serving as the factory blueprint to ensure efficient production flow, thorough test coverage, and alignment with product requirements and quality standards
  • Develop and deploy test solutions for complex electronics in a high-volume manufacturing environment
  • Architect test processes and transfer them from lab to high-volume manufacturing
  • Work with and manage external manufacturing partners (ODMs/CMs)
  • Develop data logging systems, work with databases, and create data analysis tools
  • Develop test-related user interfaces and debugging tools
  • Collaborate across software and hardware engineering teams and participate in diagnostics and debugging of complex electronic hardware
  • Be onsite in a Ford hub location as required (candidates may be required onsite four or more days per week)

Requirements

  • 5+ years of relevant experience in manufacturing test engineering, test development, or production engineering using C++ or Python
  • Experience in a bare metal and RTOS environment
  • Experience with JIRA/Confluence or a similar system for tracking inputs/results
  • Strong hands-on experience with testing, diagnostics, and debugging complex electronic hardware (e.g., servers, compute modules, or similar systems)
  • 5+ years of experience in manufacturing test for high-performance compute or complex electronic systems (preferred)
  • Proven experience architecting test processes and transferring them from lab to high-volume manufacturing (preferred)
  • Direct experience working with and managing external manufacturing partners (ODMs/CMs) (preferred)
  • Proficiency in developing data logging systems, working with databases, and creating data analysis tools (preferred)
  • Experience in developing test-related user interfaces (preferred)
  • Highly collaborative mindset and strong communication skills to work effectively across a broad range of engineering teams
