Develop diagnostic tests in collaboration with software teams for comprehensive product functional testing to identify and isolate failures during production
Create detailed end-to-end test plans serving as the factory blueprint to ensure efficient production flow, thorough test coverage, and alignment with product requirements and quality standards
Develop and deploy test solutions for complex electronics in a high-volume manufacturing environment
Architect test processes and transfer them from lab to high-volume manufacturing
Work with and manage external manufacturing partners (ODMs/CMs)
Develop data logging systems, work with databases, and create data analysis tools
Develop test-related user interfaces and debugging tools
Collaborate across software and hardware engineering teams and participate in diagnostics and debugging of complex electronic hardware
Be onsite in a Ford hub location as required (candidates may be required onsite four or more days per week)
Requirements
5+ years of relevant experience in manufacturing test engineering, test development, or production engineering using C++ or Python
Experience in a bare metal and RTOS environment
Experience with JIRA/Confluence or a similar system for tracking inputs/results
Strong hands-on experience with testing, diagnostics, and debugging complex electronic hardware (e.g., servers, compute modules, or similar systems)
5+ years of experience in manufacturing test for high-performance compute or complex electronic systems (preferred)
Proven experience architecting test processes and transferring them from lab to high-volume manufacturing (preferred)
Direct experience working with and managing external manufacturing partners (ODMs/CMs) (preferred)
Proficiency in developing data logging systems, working with databases, and creating data analysis tools (preferred)
Experience in developing test-related user interfaces (preferred)
Highly collaborative mindset and strong communication skills to work effectively across a broad range of engineering teams
