About the role

  • Lead, mentor and inspire a team of highly skilled software engineers specializing in multimedia frameworks, audio / video processing, camera and Android Automotive OS.
  • Foster a collaborative and high performing team culture that embraces innovation and continuous improvement.
  • Define and drive technical roadmap for infotainment multimedia features and integration aligning with overall product strategy and market trends.
  • Oversee the entire software development lifecycle, from requirements gathering and design to implementation, testing and deployment.
  • Ensure timely delivery of high-quality software solutions that meet performance, reliability and scalability requirements.
  • Collaborate closely with product managers, designers and other stakeholders to define product specification and ensure successful execution.
  • Champion engineering best practices, including code reviews, unit testing and continuous integration/continuous delivery (CI/CD).
  • Stay abreast of emerging technologies and industry best practices, particularly in the areas of multimedia frameworks, automotive infotainment and Android development.
  • Manage team performance, conduct performance reviews and identify opportunities for professional growth and development.

Requirements

  • B.S. in Electrical, Computer Engineering or Computer Science or equivalent combination of relevant education and experience.
  • 3+ years of experience of managing and leading engineering teams in the automotive or consumer electronics domain.
  • 10+ years of hands-on experience in software development.
  • Experience with developing and integrating different multimedia domains like Audio, Video, Camera or Display.
  • Experience on Android Automotive OS.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal and leadership skills.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities and a passion for innovation.
  • M.S. in Electrical, Computer Engineering or Computer Science (preferred).
  • Experience negotiating with hardware and software vendors (preferred).
  • Experience in Yocto Embedded Linux (preferred).
  • Experience in Hypervisor and Virtualization (preferred).
  • Experience in implementing Widevine L1 (preferred).
