About the role
- Independently perform procedures such as Bone Marrow Biopsy, Skin Punch Biopsy, and other procedures as indicated
- Assess patients: interview, health history, physical examination, interpret diagnostic studies/tests
- Acquire patient consent, consults, H&P, patient education, health promotion, care coordination
- Write prescriptions for medications, blood products, diagnostic and follow-up studies, therapeutic measures
- Relay information to collaborating physician and dictate follow-up letters to referring physicians
- Dictate or write patient history, admissions, progress notes, and discharge notes in a timely manner
- Assist in management of family dynamics and coping mechanisms
- Assist staff in times of crisis or emergency; maintain company equipment; assist in training new employees
- Work at any FCS location as directed by collaborating physician; work overtime when given sufficient notice
Requirements
- Master's degree in nursing program OR graduate of a nationally accredited physician assistant program
- Active, unencumbered advanced registered nurse practitioner licensure in the State of Florida or physician assistant licensure
- National Certification as a Family Nurse Practitioner or National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants
- Minimum of two years of experience as an Advanced Practice Provider
- Experience in Bone Marrow Biopsy, Skin Punch Biopsy, and other procedures, preferred
- Background, drug, and nicotine screens required
- Required vaccinations including influenza vaccine (unless exemption)
